Silver-tone Masonic chevrac with attachment wires on back. Shaped like a square and compasses.
Stories have long been told of northern and southern Freemasons who were injured or captured during the American Civil War, and received aid from Masonic brothers on the opposing side. Soldiers often indicated their Masonic membership on the battlefield using chevracs, which are pins or patches that attach to saddle blankets.
