Lantern slide in black and white. Central image shows a battle scene. At right, one man is on horseback brandishing a sword. Several men are lying on the ground wounded or dead. At center, one figure plays a drum. The men wear 18th-century clothing and many hold guns. A label printed in black is applied to one end of the slide and reads, "Braddock's Defeat." A label printed in black applied to the other end of the slide reads, "A.D. Handy, Stereopticons & Supplies, 17 Bromfield St., Boston." Handwritten on this label in black is "Period 1752-1759."
