Lantern slide in color. Image shows a scene from the story of the Pied Piper. The slide depicts a townscape. A man in a plumed hat, wearing a red and yellow striped coat, plays a musical instrument. Rats are coming from the buildings to follow him. Townspeople move out of the way and watch. A label printed in black at one end of the slide reads, "4. And out of the houses the rats came tumbling, Great rats, small rats, brawny rats." A label printed in red is pasted to the other end and reads, "A.D. Handy, Stereopticons and Supplies, Boston."
