Lantern slide in color. Image shows a scene from the story of the Pied Piper. The slide depicts a river with the town in the background. A man in a plumed hat, wearing a red and yellow striped coat, plays a musical instrument and stands at the edge of the water. Rats are following him and jumping into the river. Townspeople stand on a bridge at left and behind the piper, cheering. A label printed in black at one end of the slide reads, "5. Until they came to the river Weser, Wherein all plunged and perished." A label printed in red is pasted to the other end and reads, "A.D. Handy, Stereopticons and Supplies, Boston."
