Lantern slide in color. Image shows a scene from the story of the Pied Piper. The slide depicts a courtyard with a staircase at the back. A man in a plumed hat, wearing a red and yellow striped coat and playing a musical instrument, is walking away from the steps. Many children follow him down the steps and from the courtyard. A label printed in black at one end of the slide reads, "7. Tripping and skipping ran merrily after, The wonderful music with shouting and laughter." A label printed in red is pasted to the other end and reads, "A.D. Handy, Stereopticons and Supplies, Boston."
