Masonic Shrine Fez, Bektash Mini Patrol. Fez composed of maroon wool (likely) with a black synthetic fiber (likely) tassel. Applied to front is a Shrine emblem (scimitar, tiger claws, sphinx head, and star) surrounded by the text "BEKTASH" (above) and "MINI PATROL" (below). Entire composition done in rhinestones with white plastic bezels; most of these stones are colorless, but some are in green or red; at center, gold-colored metal Sphinx head decorated with yellow, red, green, and white enamel stripes; gold bullion trim around "BEKTASH" and Shrine emblem. Tassel secured to PL side of fez with silver-colored metal pin in the shape of a camel that has colorless rhinestones over the majority of its body, green and red gems making up the saddle, a red gem for its eye, and red gems along a "platform" at its base (except for one colorless one at the center). At top of fez, four sets of vent holes in concentric rings. Inside fez, red satin (likely synthetic) label sewn in has yellow rectangular manufacturer's sticker on it; it has black chevron shapes at either end and the black text, "ANTHONY NIZZARDINI / MASONIC SUPPLY CO. / 175-5th Ave. New York, N. Y. 10010 / (212) 254-6048" at its center. Brown vinyl (likely) sweatband lines opening; it has a wider strip of white synthetic batting sewn within it. Silver-colored metal pin at top center which secures tassel.
