Masonic Officer's Jewel. Square and compasses inside ring.

A silversmith cut this jewel, used at Bristol Lodge, from a flat sheet of silver and then decorated it with engraving. Revere charged his clients for both material, such as the silver this jewel is made of, as well as for the labor required to create different objects. Business records show that Paul Revere sold jewels to at least fifteen lodges from 1772 through 1797.
