Double image of soldiers wearing steel helmets and standing in a trench with building materials along the top of the trench. The title is stamped in black at bottom right, "Steel-Helmeted Scots Entrenched and Cheerily Awaiting a Counterattack.". Stamped in black on the ends "Keystone View Company / Copyrighted, Underwood & Underwood / Manufacturers Made in U.S.A. Publishers" and "Meadville, Pa., New York, N.Y., Chicago, Ill., London, England." The back is printed in black with the title and a description of the image.
