Masonic Osiris Shrine Lapel Pin. OBVERSE: Gold-colored metal pin with white and red enamel in shape of Shrine emblem (double tiger claws forming a crescent with head of Osiris sphinx in middle; scimitar crossing through horizontally; star where points of claws meet). Claws, inlaid with white enamel, have "OSI [sphinx image] RIS" across top; star, inlaid with red enamel, has lines radiating from it throughout emblem's plain gold background. REVERSE: Plain, circular backing of gold-colored metal bears a circle of stamped text, "WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO / NEWARK, N.J." Thick, short metal rod connects front to backing; stabilizing prong juts from base of connector towards pin top (possibly to keep pin properly oriented on fabric).
