Independent Order of Odd Fellows Pilgrim Lodge No. 75 butter dish with tray and knife. A: Rectangular silverplate lid with round central knob on top. Sides are engraved with flowers. One of the short sides is also engraved "Pilgrim Lodge No. 75 I.O.O.F." B: Rectangular dish to hold the butter. Rounded corners. C: Rectangular footed tray with rounded corners. Curved handles on the two short sides. One of the long sides has two holders attached for the knife to rest. Round feet at the four corners. D: Butter knife (probably not original to the dish).


Pilgrim Lodge No. 75 was formed in Abington, MA, in 1845 and was active until 1859. It reorganized in 1871 and purchased the town's old high school in 1873 as a meeting place. Wilcox Silverplate Company was established in Meriden, CT, in 1865 and merged to form International Silverplate Company in 1898.
