White pearlware saucer is round with central design of a bust-length, three-quarter profile portrait of George Washington. Portrait is transfer-printed in black; it is circular in shape and has a line of loops around its edge. Above is the text "WASHINGTON" and below, "HIS COUNTRYS FATHER"; on either side of text at top and bottom are sprigs of leaves.
