White leather Masonic apron with curved flap and ties; flap is folded over the back of the apron; beneath flap is written in purple: "This Apron / was Grand Father / Jas Simmons (Masonic) / OHDavenport / of Gate of / the Temple" and in black ink: "James Simmons. / of Maderian Lodge Watertown, Mass; / About 1800".
