Cream leather Masonic Royal Arch apron. Shield-shaped body with no flap. Printed in blue at the top is a square and compasses emblem with "A. Roberts & Co. Hartford, Conn." The body of the apron is printed and painted and has a central motif of seven gold and red steps up to a gold altar with an open book on top, a square and compasses are on top of the book. On the bottom step is a column on each side with a globe on top. At left is a gold and red ark of the covenant (reading 3000) with an urn on top with smoke coming from the top. At right is a gold and red winged hourglass. Above the altar at left is a blue trowel, to the right is a blue five-point star. Above this, painted in gold and red is "Holiness to the Lord," with a G in the center with a blue bow at top. The outer edge shows signs of having once been bound with something, but the binding is now gone. Handwritten in ink on the back at top left is "Abijah Lobdell / Oxford / N.Y."
