Masonic pitcher; pink lustreware pitcher with black transfer printing; Sunderland ware type; scene of Solomon's temple, all-seeing eye, pair of women, pair of columns with globes, crescent moon with seven stars, sun, ladder, beehive, open Bible, oval reads "The world is in pain / Our seere's to gain / But still let them wonder gave / They neeran divine / The word or the sign / Of a free & a Accepted / Mason"; reverse has floral border and reads "SWIFTLY SEE EACH MOMENT FLIES / SEE AND LEARN BE TIMELY WISE. / EVERY MOMENT SHORTENS DAY, / EVERY PLUSE BEATS LIFE AWAY, / THUS THY EVERY HEAVING BREATH, / WAFT THEE ON TO CERTAIN DEATH, / SEIZE THE MOMENTS AS THEY FLY, / KNOW TO LIVE AND LEARN TO DIE"; floral oval under spout reads "REMEMBRANCE. / The sun shall lose its splendour, / The tides shall cease to flow / And tyrants hearts grow tender, / An melt at others' woe, / Thy frosty breath December. / Shall blight the flower of May, / Ere I cease to remember/ The friends now far way."
