This letter from Joseph Fisher, the captain of a merchant vessel, petitions Columbian Lodge for relief because of piracy and sickness. On the reverse of the letter, Edward Oakes, Jonathan Oakes, and H. Gardner, all from Malden, Massachusetts, attest to Fisher’s troubles. Forms part of the Columbian Lodge Records Collection.
