Master Mason certificate issued to Thomas Hawkins of Montmouth (now Monmouth) County, England; Certificate is from the Lodge of St. John, under the title of the Children of Mars and Neptune; Certificate is in French and English; One of the signers is DeGrasse-Tilly (1765-1845); the design of the pen-and-ink drawing has the two columns for Joachim and Boaz, the square and compass, and many other Masonic symbols.
