a) Portrait on ivory, showing seated man wearing blue jacket, black vest, and white shirt with Masonic pendant of square, compasses and arc at neck; facing proper right, with brown hair and sideburns. Signed lower right "Geo. Munger / July 1818"; in pencil and ink on back is "Jeremy L. Cross / Geo. Munger / New Haven / July 1818". Ivory slice has paper backing taped to glass cover over painting; b & c) black composite (not plastic but some unknown material) daguerreotype case, with the bottom half of case broken into two pieces; inside is black velvet lining and velvet mat over painting; underneath velvet is torn label reading in part "A. P. Critchlow & Co., / Manufacturers of / Daguerreotype Cases...Patended April 21, 1857.
