Masonic Master Mason apron with shield-shaped body and rounded flap. White leather with faded peach pleated trim. Ribbon trim along the top edge extends into ties. Painted on the flap is an all-seeing eye with stylized clouds. Painted on the body is an arrangement of Masonic symbols. Celestial and terrestrial columns at the top of three stairs flank a mosaic pavement. Between the columns are a sun, moon, shooting star, seven stars, clasped hands, three candlestands, altar with open Bible. To the left is a rough ashlar and to the right is a smooth ashlar. At bottom center is a coffin. Handwritten in ink under the flap is "W. Laughton Painter." Applied at top back center is a printed label reading "Hartford / W. Laughton / Painter."
