Masonic Master Mason apron with rounded body and rounded flap; has engraved designs in blue on white silk; designs include all-seeing eye on flap, sun, moon, stars, columns with globes, "G", ladder, incense, beehive, altar, candlesticks, steps, plumb and level; under flap "For Sale by E Huntington, Engraver, Hartford, Connecticut, 1826 / A Andross"; with square and compasses; remains of light blue pleated silk ribbon trim; cotton backing, twill tape ties.

As noted in a printed inscription under the flap, this apron is the fruit of collaboration between an engraver and a Freemason; Eleazer Huntington and Augustus Andros (1788-1827). Andros, an active Mason, may have commissioned this work to help meet the need for aprons for new members at his growing lodge. Huntington advertised what was likely this pattern of apron as: “a fine impression, upon Satin, Leather and Cotton, neatly finished, at low prices, from $1 to $2.” “The Badge of a Freemason: Masonic Aprons from the Collection,” March 2016-March 2017
