Independent Order of Rechabites (Temperance) apron with rectangular body. Cream silk printed in black with scene of an angel at left and a woman at right. Between them is a shield with an all-seeing eye, sun and moon with stars, snake or serpent, square with three tents and a bird. Above the shield is a beehive with a sword and sheaf of wheat. Each of the figures stands on a pedestal. A scene between the pedestals shows several men suffering from the evils of drink. Banners above and below this scene read "Peace and Plenty / The Reward of Temperance." The apron has a border of gold lace, followed by red ribbon with silver lace. Gold bullion fringe is applied to the bottom and sides. At the two lower corners are gold-tone medallions. One shows the same figures and central shield as the body of the apron. The other is a wreath with a lamb carrying a flag. The top edge is bound in red ribbon. Red canvas ties extend from the corners and have a metal clasp. Backed with cream twill cotton.
