Masonic Senior Deacon (possibly) Apron with false flap; white silk apron with faded blue silk ruffled border; gold metallic edging; engraved printed All-Seeing Eye on flap; on apron are engraved printed square and compasses with sunburst in middle suspended from ribbon (possibly Senior Deacon's Jewel); sprigs of acacia at bottom; reverse stamped: "From / A. W. Pollard's / Court Street / Boston". Also on reverse: "1009-1"

Although this printed silk apron bears an image of the jewel of a Senior Deacon, an officer in a Masonic lodge, the design was likely used more broadly, by Master Masons and by other lodge officers. Abner Pollard, the regalia manufacturer who sold this apron, supplied aprons used at many lodges in Massachusetts, including lodges in Cambridge, Andover, Dorchester, and the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in Boston.
