Subject is resting his right arm on a table covered with a decorated tablecloth; behind the table is a column. Photograph is enclosed in a gilt , double-lined border. Printed in black on the back is "P. Orendorf, / Photographer, [square and compasses symbol] / Ilion, New York. / All Negatives preserved one year. / All work warranted satisfactory." Below the printed text is a canceled blue two cent tax stamp with a picture of George Washington and the text "U.S. Inter. Rev. / Two Cents / Playing Cards."
