a: Masonic Scottish Rite 16th degree jewel; six-pointed silver star set with brilliants [paste or glass stones]; engraved on back "JAS H. Freeland"; gold pendant with "D Z," sword, stars, crowns, hand and balance; b: black box, leather-covered, green silk and satin lined; box opens vertically, hook clasp on botton front, scroll motif centered on lid.
