Black and white Masonic Knights Templar carte-de-visite photograph. Full length portrait of a bearded man standing to the right of a chair. The man is wearing a black frock coat and pants, black shoes, and Knights Templar apron, sash or baldric, belt, and gauntlets. His apron is triangular. It is black, with a white border, crossed swords on the flap, and a skull and crossbones on the body. His sash is also black, with a white border and a nine-pointed star. His belt is black , with a rectangular buckle; there is a scabbard hanging from belt at the man's left side. His gauntlets are white. In his right hand, he is holding a sword, which is pointing downward. He has a chapeau-de-bras in his left hand, which he is holding directly over the chair. The chapeau-de-bras is black, with black and white feathers. The chair is ornately carved, with a rounded back, and floral patterned cushions. Printed on the back in black is "Moore Bro's / Photographic / Gallery / Cor. Main & Pynchon Sts. / Springfield, Mass."
