Black-toned fraternal carte-de-visite photograph. Full length portrait of man wearing gray coat, black pants, gray shoes, white shirt, dark bow tie, mustache, beard, and Independent Order of Odd Fellows collar and apron. Collar has a floral design and a fringe, along with a three link chain clasp. Apron has an all-seeing eye on the flap, and a tent encircled by a wreath in the main section, a symbol related to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampment. Both the flap and the bottom edge are fringed. Man is holding onto a chair with his right hand; the chair has a seat cushion and an ornately carved back. Printed in black on the back is "Photographed by / D.O. Furnald, / Manchester, N.H."
