Sepia-toned Masonic Knights Templar carte-de-visite photograph. Full length portrait of three unidentified men. Two men are seated next to each other, with the third man standing behind and between them. The two men in front have beards and mustaches, while the man in the rear only has a mustache. Each of the seated men is wearing a dark frock coat, dark pants and shoes, and Knights Templar gauntlets, sash or baldric, belt, and chapeau-de-bras. The man on the left side of the image has a white shirt, while the one on the right is wearing a black shirt. The man in the middle has a similar uniform to that of the man on the left, except that he is only visible from the waist up. All three men have white sashes with a dark stripe on each side; each sash has a star-shaped badge. All of the men also have belts with oval buckles, and white gauntlets. The gauntlets of the middle and the right men have crosses. Each man is wearing a dark chapeau-de-bras with feathers on top. All three men are posing with their swords. The chair of the left man has a fringed seat, while that of the right man does not. Printed in black on the back, running vertically from top to bottom, is "S. S. Teel, / Photographer. / Next door to Pittenger Bros. Washington, N.J. / More prints can be had at any time." There is a loss in the bottom left corner of the CDV - possibly a bite mark from an animal.
