Sepia-toned Masonic carte-de-visite photograph. Full length portrait of unidentified man standing and wearing a black coat and pants, black shoes, white shirt, and Masonic collar and apron. The collar is dark, with five five-pointed stars and a white border. The apron is white, with a flap. The man has both a beard and a mustache. The man is resting his right hand on a pedestal; atop the pedestal is a top hat. The photograph has a gilt double-lined border around the edge of the paper. Printed on the back in black is "W. H. Tarbell / Photographic Artist, / Fredonia, N.Y. / Negatives kept two months." There are losses at the bottom two corners of this carte-de-visite.
