Sepia-toned Masonic Knights Templar carte-de-visite photograph. Full length profile portrait of a man with mustache and beard standing and wearing a black frock coat and pants, black shoes, white shirt, black bow tie, and Knights Templar apron, sash or baldric, gauntlets, belt, and Grand Commander's chapeau-de-bras. Gauntlets are white, with a black cross visible on the gauntlet on his left hand. Apron is triangular in shape, and black, with two white stripes running around the edges. Both his belt and his sash are also black, with the same stripe pattern as on the apron. At his left side, he has a sword in his belt. His chapeau-de-bras is black, with white feather trim along the peak from the front to the back. The man is posing in front of a painting of a lake scene. The front of the CDV has a border of two parallel blue lines. Printed in black on the back is "Photographed by / Higgins & Co., / 109 Washington Street, Boston."
