Sepia-toned Masonic Knights Templar Carte-de-Visite photograph. Almost full-length portrait of a bearded man wearing a black frock coat, white shirt, black bow tie, and Knights Templar gauntlets, chapeau-de-bras, sash or baldric, and sword belt. His gauntlets are white, with a cross visible on the one on his left hand. His chapeau-de-bras is black, with black and white feathers on top. His sash is black, with a white border, a rosette at the shoulder, and a nine-point star emblem with a cross inside. His sword belt is black, with a rectangular buckle. A sword is suspended from the chain on the belt; the sword has a cross on the hilt. Additionally, the man wears a Sword Bearer's jewel on the left lapel of his frock coat. There is a gilt, double-lined border around the photograph. Handwritten in pencil on the back are two illegible characters: the first is either a "0" or an "O," while the second may be a square.
