Sepia-toned Masonic Royal Arch carte-de-visite photograph. Full length portrait of unidentified man wearing dark coat and pants, black shoes, white shirt, and Masonic collar and apron. Collar is dark, with a white border; there is a single five-pointed star on it. A jewel is suspended from the collar. Apron is white, with a dark border and a flap; the Ark of the Covenant is depicted on the main portion of the apron. Man has beard and mustache; he is resting his hand on top of a table or pedestal with a decorated tablecloth. The table or pedestal is directly in front of a column. The carte-de-visite has a gilded double line border. On the back, there is a blue two-cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington and the text "U.S. Inter. Rev. / Two Cents / Proprietary." On the stamp is handwritten in black ink "R CO / [illeg.] / 13/66."
