a: Round silver-tone U.S. half dollar coin. On one side, in the center, a classically-dressed figure sits by a shield that reads, "Liberty" and holds a flag. There are thirteen stars along the top edge and "1864" at bottom. On the other side, in the center, is an eagle with a shield that holds arrows in its talons. Along the outer edge it reads, "United States of America Half Dol." b: Square blue paper-covered case with hinged lid that clasps in front. The bottom of the case is lined with blue velvet and has a round indentation for the coin. The top of the case is lined with white silk and has several rows of inked handwriting.
