Sepia-toned Masonic Knights Templar carte-de-visite. Full length profile portrait of a man. The man is facing toward the left edge of the photograph. He is wearing a black frock coat, black pants and shoes, white shirt, belt, and fraternal apron, sash or baldric, gauntlets, and chapeau-de-bras. His apron and sash are both black, with white edging. The apron has a triangle on it; the sash has a circular design near the clasp. His gauntlets are white. His chapeau-de-bras is black, with black feathers on top. He is carrying a sword in his belt. He stands in front of a backdrop. Printed in black on the back is "E.W. Johnson, / Noyes Block, / Nashua, - - N. H. / Additional copies can be had if desired." Handwritten on the back in pencil is "MASON. / MASONIC. / 2 JR." There is a green three cent revenue stamp on the back with a picture of George Washington, and the text "U.S. Inter.
