Black-and-white stereocard phoograph mounted on an orange card, showing a two-story building on a street corner. The two streets intersect in front of the building. The building is roughly rectangular in shape, and consists of a series of arched windows separated by columns. There is a rail atop the roof of this building, with a finial atop each post. To the left of this building, there is a four-story building with signs reading "Merchants Mutual Marine (?)ran(?)" and "Merchants Mutual / Insurance Co(?) / Flint Pea(?)." There is also a streetlight near the right rear corner of the first building. Behind the first building, there is a three-story building, also with arched windows. Printed in black on the front of the card is "San Francisco. / Thomas Houseworth & Co., / San Francisco / 210. Bank of California - N.W. corner California and / Sansome Sts." The back of the card is pinkish-purple.
