Gold keystone-shaped metal Mark medal/locket; hinge along PR side of keystone; twig and leaf-covered loops at top. Front: Stairs, two pillars with Royal Arch symbol in between (triangle with three-tau symbol), arch with all-seeing eye at top, open bible to PR, square and compasses to PL,"GERMANTOWN H.R.A.C. / No. 208 / April 21 / 1868". Engraved floral scrollwork surrounding. Reverse: Standing man in front of printer's tray within the circular Mark medal mnemonic, "H T W S S T K S". Banner shape above circle reads, "SAMUEL H. SLOAN"; underneath is "COLUMBIA ML No 91 / NOV. 14, 1864". Engraved floral scrollwork surrounding. Inside: Oval image of face of young woman (PR) and oval image of face of young man (PL). Outer edge, bottom: "Roxborough Lodge 135".


A jeweler engraved this gold watch fob for Samuel H. Sloan (1842-1869), a member of Colombia Mark Lodge No. 91 in Philadelphia. The Grand Chapter warranted this lodge in 1825. Sloan chose a printer working at a type case as his mark. Inside this watch fob, there are two tiny photographs of a man and a woman.
