A woman is falling back in a chair in shock at the sight of him. A mustached man stands at the doorway with a suit and top hat. He holds a finger in front of his mouth as a signal to stay quiet. On the proper left side in black text it reads "How Jones became a Mason--Oath of Secrecy." On reverse in gold print it reads, "T. H. McAllister, Manufacturing Optician / 49 Nassau Street, New York."
