Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on a yellow card, showing a waterfall cascading down amid a rocky area. Above the waterfall, there is a footbridge and two stairways. The name "Gates" appears in black in the lower right quadrant of the image on the right side of the card. The back of the card is orange, with a yellow rectangular label affixed to it. Printed in black on the label is "Stereographs / of / Havana Glen Scenery, / Photographed and Published by / G. F. Gates, Watkins, N.Y. / The Trade supplied at liberal rates. Orders filled in / rotation. See descriptive Catalogue. / This Glen is situated near the village of Havana, / Schuyler County, N.Y. The latter point is accessible / several times daily, by the trains of the Northern Central / R.R., which connect with the Erie at Elmira, and at / Canandaigua with the New York Central.
