Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on an orange card, showing piles of snow and ice, with Niagara Falls in the background. The number "64" is printed in black in the lower right corner of the right image. The back of the card is pinkish; handwritten in black ink in the lower left corner is "S.H." A white, octagonal label is affixed in the center of the back of the card. Printed in blue on the label is "Niagara in Winter. / Ice Bridge. When the ice breaks up in Lake Erie, by heavy / winds, or in spring, the ice comes down with such a rush as to / choke up the gorge below the Falls, and form an ice bridge from / 50 to 60 feet thick, and which sometimes lasts for months. / Sidney Barnett, Photographer, / At the Museum, Niagara Falls, Canada."
