Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on a yellow card, showing a girl posing as the old woman who lived in a shoe from the nursery rhyme. The girl is sitting in an oversized shoe. She is wearing a white bonnet and a black dress with a white collar. The shoe is covered with dolls, who presumably represent the children in the nursery rhyme. On the right side of each image, behind the shoe, there is an American flag hanging down. Behind the toe of the shoe, there is a chair with an ornately carved back. In the background, there are three wood panels with a total of four arched windows. Printed on the back of the card in black is "Photographed and Published by / R.J. Chute, / New Masonic Building, Melrose, Mass." Handwritten on the back in pencil is "20/f(?)g."
