Sepia-tone cabinet card photograph of unidentified man wearing fraternal uniform. Neutral background. Three-quarter length portrait of man with mustache. He looks to one side. He wears a dark chapeau-de-bras with a rosette visible on one side and white plumes. He also wears a white shirt with a dark uniform coat with epaulettes. He wears a sash with chains and a sword belt that holds a sword. Stamped in gold along the bottom is "Hardy / 493 Washington Street / Boston." Printed on the back is a decorative motif and "Hardy / 493 Washington St. / Boston / Mass. / Duplicates / may be had / at any time." Handwritten in pencil on the back at top is "Van Gilpatrick."
