By the end of the 1800s, Masonic aprons made in different parts of the country by a variety of makers often shared characteristics. This apron, manufactured in Boston, features the pointed flap and square body shape popular at the time. It appears to have been one of a set of officers’ aprons made for Baalbec Lodge. Though officers’ aprons typically belonged to the lodge, this apron was owned by a member, Charles E. Lindergreen (1860-1936). He may have acquired it after the lodge purchased a new set.
