Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on a yellow card, showing a street scene in winter. The United States Capitol building is at the far end of the street. The street is lined with bare trees, and there are several house-like buildings along the left side of the street. On the street itself, four distinct paths have been cleared out of the snow, which can be seen in between them. Two or three carriages are visible on these paths in the background, though not as far in the background as the Capitol. The back of the card is yellow, with an off-white, rectangular label affixed in the center. Printed in black on the label is "Penna. Avenue and U.S. Capitol. / Photographed and Published by Bell & Bro., 480 Penna. Avenue. / Washington D.C."
