Gift of William Caleb Loring
Hand-colored black-and-white stereophotograph mounted on a yellow card showing a group of people on a street whose clothes are being lifted by gusts of wind. In the foreground, there is a woman and a man. The woman is wearing a red bonnet, a yellowish blouse, a pinkish-red skirt, white stockings, and dark shoes. Her skirt is being lifted upward by the wind. The man is wearing a dark coat, and a plaid shirt and pants. He is looking up for his hat, which has blown off of his head. There is an umbrella behind him, but he does not appear to be holding it. Two women are standing behind the man and the first woman; their dresses are also being lifted up by the wind. Printed in gray along the bottom edge of the right image is the caption "The Windy Day." Printed in black on the front of the card is "New H Series. / Groups from Life." The back of the card is off-white or grayish, and is blank.
