Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on a peach or buff-colored card, showing a boy and a girl sitting atop a fence with a donkey or mule to their right. The boy is to the left of the girl, and is taller than her. He is wearing a hat, jacket, and ripped pants. The girl is wearing a jacket over a dress. The donkey or mule is standing behind the fence, so only its head and neck are visible in these images. Printed in white along the bottom edge of the right image is "17 Seeing the Circus Go By." Printed in black on the front of the card is "Webster & Albee, Publishers, / Rochester, N.Y. / Sold Only by Canvasses." The numbers "47" and "2" are handwritten in pencil on the back of the card.
