Sepia-toned fraternal carte-de-visite photograph. Image of framed bust-length portrait of unidentified man. Subject has dark hair, a beard and mustache, a dark coat with a dark vest and white shirt. His portrait is enclosed in a mat with an oval cutout. Also set into this same mat are a variety of fraternal symbols and a rectangle with an illegible inscription. The matted portrait is in a metallic rectangular frame that is suspended by a cord with two tassels. Atop the frame is a decoration with a shell or leaf and a three-link chain. Printed in black on the back is "Nesbitt's / Harlem Bridge Gallery, / 3d [sic] Avenue, cor. 130th St. / N.Y."
