Black-and-white stereophotograph or stereocard mounted on a yellow card, showing a boy sitting atop an overturned barrel. The boy is holding a stick or a wand to his mouth to blow bubbles - two bubbles can be seen in each image. He is wearing a dark jacket and trousers, and is barefoot. His left foot is resting on a rung of a wooden ladder. There are corncobs in the barrel, and on the ground immediately in front. Hay is strewn around much of the area shown in each image. Printed in black on the front of the card is "Griswold's Compositions. / "Blowing Bubbles." / Entered according to act of Congress, in the year 1871, by M. M. / GRISWOLD, of Lancaster, O., in the office of Librarian of Congress, / at Washington." The back of the card is yellow and blank.
