Three woman are standing on a balcony visible at the top of the photograph. Banner on the balcony reads "We'll camp while in the wilderness / and then we're going home". The back of the card has pencils notes in various handwritings- in cursive, "Clinton Ave. / Campground, / Martha's Vineyard / Ellison" followed by a downward pointing arrow. "Clinton Avenue / Campground / Martha's Vineyard.", printed in pencil. "Taken 1873 / Observe the care free / holiday spirit of the / banner of greeting / "We'll camp while in the / wilderness / And then we're / going home". The numeral 5 is written in pencil on both corners of the back of the card.
