Black-and-white stereocard photograph mounted on a light green card, showing an urban area identifiable as Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. The dome-like Mormon Tabernacle is in the upper left quadrant of each image. The Tabernacle sits amid a fortress-like structure, which is itself surrounded by more buildings. In the bottom half of each image, there are nine men atop an outcrop of soil. Behind the men, there is a fence that effectively separates them from the city in the image. Printed in black on the front of the card is "Stereoscopic Gems of Utah Scenery. / Stereoscopic Gems of Utah Scenery." Printed in black on the back of the card is "Carter's View Emporium, / East Temple St., / Salt Lake City. / Order by Mail promptly attended to." Handwritten in pencil along the top edge of the back of the card is "(?)LS." Handwritten in pencil along the right edge is "39."
