Signed and Sealed: Masonic Certificates, corridor, part two, August 2017 Demit from Capital Lodge No. 3, 1875 Issued to Adolphe Minski (1819-1886), Omaha, Nebraska Gift of Mrs. H. Heinze, A71/002/005 Adolphe Minski lived in Nebraska from about 1868 through 1875. During that time he participated in local lodges as well as the Scottish and York Rites. He advertised as a “French Hair Dresser,” serving clients as a barber and wig maker. In 1871, and again in 1875, Minski demitted, or left, some of the Masonic groups he belonged to. This document, which says he departed Capital Lodge in good standing, would have helped smooth the way if Minski wanted to join a lodge in the town he lived in next.
