Black-and-white stereocard photograph mounted on a light green card, showing a mansion. The mansion is at least three stories tall, with several chimneys, and is surrounded by a fence. At the entrance to the mansion through the fence, there is an arch with an eagle on top. To the left of the arch, and in front of the mansion, there is a smaller building, possibly a shed or a barn. Two men are standing on the property in front of the mansion; they are wearing dark hats, jackets, shirts, and pants. Some snow is visible on the ground. Printed in black on the front of the card is "Stereoscopic Gems of Utah Scenery. / Stereoscopic Gems of Utah Scenery. / President Young's Residence," with the last line on a piece of green paper glued to the bottom front edge of the card. Printed in black on the back of the card is "Carter's View Emporium, / East Temple St., / Salt Lake City. / Order by Mail promptly attended to." Handwritten in pencil along the top edge of the back of the card is "(?)LS." Handwritten in pencil along the right edge is "3-9."
