Autograph letter signed by Richard Eddy to Excelsior Lodge, Independent Order of Good Templars; the letter concerns the submission of Excelsior's by-laws which were approved except for Article 4; Richard Eddy signs this letter with his title, G. W. C. T. (Grand Worthy Chief Templar); letter is written on letterhead with ornate purple imprint "Independent Order of Good Templars." For further information SEE FOLDER.


Richard Eddy (1828-1906) was an Univeralist minister stationed at churches throughout New England; He was a reknowned temperance movement advocate.
